This is hilarious!!! n8 just put Maggie from Little People in "Time Out". He is now holding her in his palm and saying "hey, maggie....little people! No, time out!" I don't know what exactly Maggie did to deserve time out, but n8 is harsh punisher! He's now asking her to be quiet before he puts her back to ride on the choo-choo train.
I've tried to ask him why he put her in time out but he hasn't given me a real clear response.
I ate a real, complete breakfast this morning.....eggs, sausage, waffles, strawberries, and a tall glass (or two) of OJ!! YUM!!!
I love being pregnant.
N8 just stared at me while picking at his eggs and yogurt. :)
PS - Did i mention that i cooked this at home....not a "Mimi's" breakfast!
My uterus must have the memory of a sharp-minded elephant! I swear once the baby landed there, it took no time to whip back into its "retro" pregnancy shape. My belly is growing at a much faster rate than it did with n8, but then again, i hear that's what happens with subsequent pregnancies.
I am loving every bit of it though! :)
Every night about this hour i start craving breakfast foods like pancakes, french toast, and anything syrup-y. I dragged (?) my sister to Mimi's the other morning because it's all i had thought about the night before. Hit the spot.
Today we had the preliminary ultrasound and everything went well. I am so relieved and excited! We all got to see the tiny rice-grain size baby and hear and see the flickering heartbeat.
Very exciting!
Nathan didn't really know what was going on but was enthralled by all the doctor equipment!
I am the queen of coupons. I am addicted to them. I rarely ever go somewhere without looking to see if they've got a coupon out somewhere....val pak, local parenting /kid mags, newspaper, online, magazine, etc.
Today my sis and i took n8 to ABC (Atlanta Bread Company) - which was one of my faves while living in California - and i, of course, took the coupons they had from this past Sunday's paper.
Then were were off to Michael's to look for a frame for one of the 8x10s i wanted to frame of n8....i of course reached for my Michael's 40% off coupon. (Tip: i have recently realized that Michael's alternates their weeks of advertising/coupon distribution...this coming Sunday there won't be an ad or a coupon, but next Sunday there will be! :) )
I figure i have saved our family thousands of dollars by now. I can't help it....i love coupons!
Well, my sis came into town yesterday and n8 has been enjoying her company very much. We have a busy week and will hopefully all have lots of fun together! More later.
Well, tonight is the final series episode of my FAVORITE TV Drama, or TV show, period - Six Feet Under. I have stuck with this show since the beginning and LOVE everything about it. My Sunday nights just won't be the same! :(
Tonight is the 75-minute finale, which i won't be able to watch when it airs...i am having it DVR'd because i usually watch it once n8 goes to bed. Since it's a doozie this time, looks like i'll be up past midnight! I don't care...it's worth it. I'll just be sad when it's all over and the final credits roll.
Why is it that boys like to stack up and build their legos so, so high, only to knock it all down in an instant? N8 loves doing that! He'll build a huge tower of legos, then before i can even take 2 seconds to admire his work and compliment him on it, he's tearing it down and loving every moment.
Boys.
Nathan told me he loved me for the first (and second) time today. It was so sweet! The first unsolicited "i love you" was this morning when i picked him up out of our bed and started to carry him over to his room to get him dressed for the day. I was rounding the corner of my side of the bed when i planted a big kiss on his cheek. He then said "i lub u" in his sweet, angelic voice! I wanted to hear it again and again so i asked, "What? what did you say?" and he repeated!
Then, this afternoon he said it again when i was about to change his diaper! It was so cute!
I'll never forget this....before today he had only said it to me when either i said it first to him or by me making him say it! :)
