Customer Service? MY ASS!

Why does Home Depot even give you the option to "speak with a Customer Service Representative" when you call? ARRGHH!!! I have been on hold for 24 minutes and 51 seconds, according to my phone.

For pete's sake!!!!!! All i want to do is find out if they carry our brand of water filter for our fridge. Luckily i have speakerphone on this handset i am using so we'll see how long it takes one of those orange aproned idiots to pick up the phone. This is so freakin' ANNOYING!

A new park discovery

This morning i took the N8 and Will to Frontier Park which is near the Indian Creek library we normally go to. They were having a free event to kickoff the summer reading program. There were great games, activities and refreshments for the kids. With all there was to do there, however, Nathan spent most of his time at the playground area. They had a cool slide/climbing combo that was pirate-themed, in the shape of a big boat.

We'll be keeping track of all the books Nathan reads this summer on the folder form they gave him. At the end of the season, i think he can turn it into the library for a free book!!

Will was a charmer and was great with me pushing him in the hot sun while he stayed in the stroller. Anyway, i am sure we'll be spending LOTS of time at the library this summer as there are a ton of reading events they have scheduled!

Here's Nathan doing the rock painting activity. He's so sweet...he wanted to paint two pet rocks....one for him and one for baby Will!

A pic with the library mascot i suppose.....he was a friendly cat and of course my photogenic, camera-loving son was just dying for a picture with him!

Mr. PoTAIto Head

Yep, those are the little yellow glasses that came with his Mr. Potato Head kit. I was working on my computer and he was busy playing in the living room. I called out to him and he turned to say "what?" and when i saw those glasses on him, i totally cracked up! I didn't have to make him leave them on to take the picture, either. I think he wants to wear them to bed.

Wet ‘n Wild

Today has been all about water for our family. David came home from work this afternooon wanting to wash his new "toy". He bought a Toyota Supra sportscar last week and needed to wash the bug juice off of it. Nathan was happy to help.

With our pool opening up this weekend, we decided to take the boys out for some splashin' fun!! Will slept the whole time while david and nathan played in the water. Nathan is so comfortable in the pool now....he loves it!! He is learning to swim finally (with his floaties for now) and he loves to get into the pool by himself....he doesn't want help from dad (or mom for that matter) anymore. Just another sign my baby is growing up.

6 weeks ago i was recovering from giving birth.

I can't believe it! Will is SIX WEEKS OLD!! Here's a pic of the two of us together today....

I’d forgotten what it was like to just have the ONE kiddo.

Today after Kindermusik we made a Target run where we had lunch and picked up a few "essentials" (yeah, right!). So i am out loading bags into the car when david calls and tells me that his mom wants to spend some time with Nathan today and asked if i could drop him off. Who am i to keep him from spending time with his grandma?? Of course i said yes!

I brought Will home and realized that i have LESS to do with just one kid around. I'll be by to get Nathan tonight at around 8 or 9. My MIL wants to take him to McD's for dinner. So, that leaves me with at least 5 hours to get stuff done around the house and tend to Will.

It's funny how you forget so quickly what it's like to only have one little person to look after. We'll see how much i get done....Will's crying.

Bzzzzzz!

Yesterday was my sister's graduation barbeque party here at my mom's in stinkin' hot Texas (but i am not complaining)! Since most of the party was outside underneath tents and such, we kept the french doors that open up to my mom's backyard wide open. And wouldn't you know it....several flies made their way indoors.

This morning i was telling Nathan to pick up his markers over in the corner of the living room and put the caps on them. His reply to me was, "No, i can't or the bees will get me. They go 'bzzzzzz'!" At first it took me a while to figure out what the heck he was talking about....what bees??

Then i figured out he was referring to the FLIES!! We both cracked up and made our way over to the corner where i showed him there were no bees. I explained to him they were flies that buzzed around. He still insists they're bees since they "buzz".

The best tastin’ cake i’ve ever had!

Everyone locally knows that Lucy's is the best around, but they really outdid themselves with my sister's graduation cake. It was half chocolate half white with strawberry filling and buttercream frosting.........MMMMM, DELISH!!

SHE DID IT!!

My sister's graduation was today and we couldn't be more proud! It was a beautiful day to be out taking pics. After the ceremony we all headed over to Olive Garden for lunch and chowed down. Will and Nathan were champs....they behaved oh so well the whole day!

Hook 'Em Horns!

Lights…Camera…Action….WIGGLES!

Why is this song running through my head? Well, it's probably because of the concert we went to today. WOW - we all had SUCH a great time!!! The Wiggles are AWESOME, is all i have to say. Our SECOND ROW SEATS weren't bad either. We actually ended up with these because of a floorplan issue, we were told, so they ended up having to move us closer to the stage. We didn't mind!! We had the best view in the house! David and i noticed the look of shock on Nathan's face as The Wiggles made their way on stage for the concert to start. It was so cute!! I think he was shocked beyond belief to be seeing these characters in real life as opposed to on our TV.

Of course, we all sang ALL of the songs the entire time they were performing. Nathan really got into the whole concert after getting over his shock! David and i enjoyed ourselves too and little Will slept for most of the concert.

I really don't know who was more excited to see The Wiggles - me or Nathan!!!
