Blog hiatus.

I'll be a non-blogger for about the next 72 hours as I am doing a lovely stint at church for some amazing women. Be nice, everyone.

The REAL French Connection!

MY SISTER IS GETTING MARRIED! I am so excited to blab to the blog-reading world that my sister and Guillaume are getting married, and it's most likely going to be in PARIS!! Paris, France, people!!

I am so excited and happy for my sister (and Gui). Like my mom pointed out this evening on the phone, our family will be quite diverse with all of these wonderful cultures represented. So, the details are not final as of now but you bettah believe I'll be posting them as they become available. Congratulations, ya'll! You both deserve so much happiness and ALL the blessings in the world! I love ya'll!

I am sure Nathan would LOVE for Ratatouille to be served at a celebration dinner!

So good, I had to blog about it.

Rarely do you ever see coupons for toys. I found this one though and posted it on my website as well as a couple of other online communities I belong to. I thought I'd post it here too, in case any of you Internet peeps wanted in.

It's a coupon for $5 off $25 or toy purchase at Target. This expires 10/1/08 so hang onto it for all those summer birthday party gifts! I just love downloadable and printable coupons. I wish every merchant would use them. It's certainly more earth-friendly.

KC Jiggle Jam!

Besides the never-ending mommy duty, wife duty, church commitments, and my ever-present social life [insert sarcasm], I have been busy with business. I have had meetings at least once a week for the past month or so to negotiate sponsorships and partnerships with local organizations and groups. I've been astonished at how well received the website has been from both moms and local businesses looking to target our demographic.

Among other partnerships I've recently worked hard to land, I am so excited to plug my latest one. KC Jiggle Jam is sure to be the hit of the season here in KC! This whole partnership actually came about by chance. One of my advertisers had introduced me to another fabulous KC mom entrepreneur who does fabulous things here in the metro. She and I met two weeks ago to discuss our partnership, and as it turned out, she spread the word about me to the folks at KC Jiggle Jam. Two days later, I was invited to be on the Board of Directors for the event (which is a fabulous non-profit), and we are now working as the event's web media sponsor. This is going to be a huge event and is being backed by some major companies, like Hallmark. It's going to be such a fun time for the whole family with tons of music, crafts, activities, and shopping. They Might Be Giants will be headlining, and local favorites Jim Cosgrove "Mr. Stinky Feet", Funky Mama, and Dino O'Dell are all scheduled to perform. It's two days of jam-packed family fun. So, if you're in KC over Memorial Day weekend, you have to take your family to KC Jiggle Jam! I'll see you there.

My girl.

So, when do I get to go on a four-day excursion?

David left at 4 a.m. today for his golf trip with he and his buddies. He called me after finishing up his two rounds of golf for the day and a very nice resort dinner, and informed me that he and his friend, Phil (whom he's rooming with), received an automatic upgrade to a SUITE upon checking in! Seriously.

Okay, now I'm jealous!

They're staying at the luxurious Wigwam Resort in Phoenix. It'll be a nice getaway for him and he really deserves it (Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas, Honey!) He and his group have been planning and looking forward to this trip for a while now and I just hope it's all they hope for it to be.

The other night one of the other golf wives called me up and invited me to dinner with the gals here on Saturday night. As much as I wish I could join them, I had to decline. When David asked why, I was like, "Uh, I'll have the KIDS with me!" He was sure that it would be fine to bring them along. Riiiight. And that would make for an enjoyable dinner? I don't think so.

Anyway, I miss my husband but I know he's getting a nice, long break from us and he'll come back good and refreshed. Maybe then I'll be able to get away and sneak in a haircut.

Two tents are better than one.

Today was a snow & ice day. The kids and I stayed home all day long and did some fun projects, coloring, playing, and watching tv together. I got out their little pop-up playhouse for them in hopes they'd not feel too much of the cabin fever today, but apparently that wasn't enough.

Nathan asked for the tent so I went looking around for that and set it all up as well. Then, he asked me to connect the two together so they could go from one to the other easier. Hey, at least it kept them out of my hair long enough to get some work done around here.

Another first.

Will got his first ever professional haircut today by Jim, the same wonderful man that David and Nathan get theirs from.

He didn't even make a single peep the entire time! I think that had to do with the fact that he was so tired that all he could do was just sit there and enjoy the buzzing sounds of the clippers. Anyway, he turned out so cute, don't you think?

I’m playing catch-up!

I have been so swamped with things lately and blogging has taken a backseat. I have managed to update my P365 photos, so be sure and check those out!

I promise I am still reading everyone's blogs....just not keeping up with my own.

Happy Heart Day.

Valentine's Day was great around here! David and the boys came home with the cutest little gift for me - each of them had gotten a sweet card and then a there was a little stuffed bear with a balloon and chocolates all wrapped up in one!

Nathan and Will enjoyed opening their countdown mailbox for the final time today and in it was their first clue to many little treats hidden all around the house. I sent them on a scavenger hunt for the final prize. Nathan got a great little Playmobil set and Will received a Hot Wheels car launcher. They also got little treats along the way with each clue.

For dinner we headed out to Mi Ranchito restaurant which has become such a favorite around here. Nathan even ate a cheese enchilada kids meal, which is unheard of for him! I am so proud he actually even gave it a shot! Overall, it was a sweet ending to a great Valentine's Day.
