Now that the weather is warming {finally!}, my family and I are looking forward to spending lots of time outdoors.  With 4 kids and 3 of them in sports - soccer & baseball - we find ourselves so busy being outside during the spring and summer months.  And although we DO love it, even I have to admit on occassion that it can be a jungle out there!  And, as a mom, I always feel the need to be prepared for just about anything that can happen while we're on-the-go enjoying the activities of the great outdoors.

Is it spring yet where you live?  Well, here in the midwest it is anything BUT spring-like!  Recently I attended my son's soccer game where most of the spectators were in winter coats.  Yes, winter coats in April!  I am SO done with this winter weather and ready for some sunshine and heat.

Balancing A Busy Household with #AngelSoft

So, most of you know I am mom to 3 boys who no doubt keep me extremely busy.  But, add to that a 4th one (that is due ANY day now), and I know things will get even more hectic around here.  On a daily basis, there is a lot I am juggling -- blogging, small business owner, mom, chef, taxi driver, wife, housecleaner, and the like.  I believe in forming well-rounded little peeps who will one day find their place in society so my kids are active but no over-structured.  They participate in various seasonal sports, piano / music lessons, religious activities, and other extracurricular activities.  And as much as I love that we are an active, busy family, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't tired by the end of the week.  As such, I am constantly looking for ways to simplify my life and errands that need to be run to keep my household functioning and in tip-top shape for my family.

I also try my best to stretch our family dollar whenever possible so that we can make room to enjoy vacations, eating out, and other fun purchases that we contribute to the fun times we share as a family.  This is what I love about Angel Soft.  It gets the job done so that my family isn't wasting time on products that don't function like they're supposed to, but it also saves me money. Growing up, reading was always stressed as such an important subject in school.  I'm happy to say that now, as a mom, I am carrying on that philosophy with my own kids.  One of the things that I love about my kids' school is that they stress early reading habits from the moment kids set foot as students there.  My 3rd grader has a book log that he is required to fill out each day for his weekly reading.  20 minutes a day is all it takes.  It has been a great way for my hubs and I to stay on top of his reading and hold him accountable for it each day.

{review}: L'Oreal Paris Magic BB Cream

I was recently provided with a full-size sample of the new L'Oréal Paris Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream to incorporate into my regular beauty routine.  I have to say I was a bit skeptical at first because I am not one who wears a lot of heavy makeup and my skin tends to feel heavy and weighed the more "stuff"  I layer onto it.

With that said, I started using the BB Cream after my moisturizer each day and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised with the results.  Check it out for yourself . . .

{giveaway}: Shutterfly Valentine's Day Cards and Gifts

Love.  A day that's solely dedicated to celebrating love.  How could you not love a holiday like that?  I absolutely love Valentine's Day and the season that surrounds it.  One could argue that perhaps it's because I have a February birthday that I enjoy the month so much.  I tend to have a month-long celebration thanks to my amazing husband and family.  Or, maybe it's because the month of February brings with it that glimpse of sunshine - that is Spring - and gets me excited about warmer weather!

Whatever it is, I do know that Valentine's Day ranks right up there with how much I love Halloween & Mother's Day.  I love the decor, colors, and beautiful tulips {my favorite flower} that come with the holiday.  Over the years, I have made so many wonderful traditions with my kids - from doing countdown gifts starting February 1st, to a special Valentine lunch tradition.  And of course, interwoven throughout all of these traditions are lots of photos of my loved ones and lots of cute and special cards.

With three boys in the house, we see our fair share of superheroes.  So, you can imagine how bonkers they all went when we recently received The Avengers Iron Man role play mask and tri-power repulsor (a.k.a. "blaster").

It was as if my 6 year-old was getting to have Christmas early as he tore the box of goodies open and took to wearing this fun Iron Man gear around the house.
