Recently, my youngest little guy turned the big ONE and we celebrated with a special party with just the 6 of us. It was an afternoon filled with laughter, great snacks and treats, games, and more! Of course, we couldn't even imagine celebrating without including our all-time favorite Disney Junior character - MICKEY!
For this fun celebration, I kept it simple. It was after school that we had this fun party so I picked up Mickey Mouse cardboard popcorn containers, paper cups, hanging decorations, napkins, and plates. We had popcorn, lemonade, and simple sprinkle cupcakes during the party. The kids also loved playing the fun Disney Junior Bingo game which featured different characters on bingo cards. No reading was required, so ALL of my kiddos could play! The funny thing is, my kids will likely not remember details like what we had to eat or who won the bingo game. But what they WILL rememeber is how much fun it was just hanging out together and being a family celebrating a special birthday boy!
What I love about ALL of the Disney Junior characters and shows, is that all of my kids can get excited about at least one of them! It's programming that truly stands the test of time. Even my 10 year old has fond memories of dancing to "It's the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse! Come inside, it's fun inside!" when we have it on the tv. I love that Disney Junior programming has become an integral part of how our family celebrates both the big milestones as well as the everyday happenings in our family!
And to help celebrate some of those everday family moments, Disney Junior is inviting all of us to take part in their #DisneyJuniorFamilia 10 Day Photo Challenge. When you submit your Disney Junior inspired family photos over on the Facebook page app, you may have a chance to appear on TV!
To join in on the fun of this 10 Day Photo Challenge, use the guide below to showcase and share your fun Disney Junior inspired photos. And don't forget to follow along with hashtag #DisneyJuniorFamilia as well.
I'd love to know: who is your family's favorite Disney Junior character?

CANDY TAI is a wife to David and mom of 5 with a degree in Communications. She's a native Texan (Hook 'Em Horns!) who's been making her home in the Kansas City metro area for nearly 15 years. She loves being able to shuffle her kids from their various sports activities, piano lessons, and school activities. She enjoys fashion, beauty, reality TV, and moviegoing.
Wow, can't believe your little guy is one already! Time flies. And you're right, kids don't always remember the details, but do remember the fun they had in special moments like these.
