Writing a letter to Santa each Christmas season is one of my kids' favorite traditions. And giving back to the community during this time of year, is one of mine. This year marks the seventh year of Macy’s Believe campaign, which invites believers of all ages to drop off letters to Santa at any Macy’s store by depositing them in special, designated Santa Mail letterboxes. You can also submit your letter online at Macys.com/believe.
Recently, Jacob and I had a fun day out at Macy's to drop off his letter for Santa. He got so excited getting to ride the escalators upstairs and when we turned the corner, loved the sweet setup Macy's had in-store - complete with postcards, a bright red mailbox, and the coziest atmosphere for crafting his very own letter to Santa.
It was truly touching that, at the end of his letter to Santa, Jacob threw in the fact that "we're having a baby sister!" to Santa. He of course prefaced that with the usual wish of monster trucks and other fun toys. And I enjoyed helping him by writing out his actual "letter" part, based on what he was telling me to write. He, however, took great pride in writing his own name. He said he was writing his name in big letters at the top so Santa would for sure know it was HIS list! It's heart-warming that so much good can come from something so sweet and fun for a child, all thanks to Macy's!

This was such a fun outing for us and I hope you'll take some time, out of what I am SURE is a busy time of year for you and your family, to embrace the holiday spirit and give back through this wonderful program Macy's has once again hosted for Make-A-Wish. For each letter received, Macy’s will donate $1 to Make-A-Wish, up to $1 million, to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. Be a part of holiday history - let’s break the Guinness World Record for longest wish list to Santa by submitting your letter to Macys.com/believe.
I truly hope all of you have a blessed and laughter-filled holiday season!
