{giveaway}: Give Back to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals with Pampers Swaddlers

I've been so blessed with 5 healthy children. Other than the occasional bump, bruise, a broken thumb, and a few stitches, my kids have spent little time in emergency rooms. I know first-hand, though, that there are so many parents out there who have kids with life-threatening illnesses who have a very different experience.

Thankfully, organizations like the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals exist to help provide support, comfort, and peace of mind to the millions of sick kids they help. Whether they suffer from common childhood afflictions like asthma and broken bones, or fight bigger challenges like birth defects or cancer, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals are there for the families and kids that need them. To show support for the organization and the one in 10 kids in North America who are treated by Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals each year, Walmart and Pampers have teamed up to donate $200,000 in the month of June. 

One in 10 kids in North America is treated by Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals each year, and every day, member hospitals treat 16,000 children in emergency rooms. I recently learned about how they were there for a Kansas kid like Devin.

Devin is literally a walking miracle. Diagnosed with mosaic trisomy 22, a disorder in which an extra chromosome 22 is found in some cells of the body, Devin’s parents were told he would probably never eat or walk on his own.

Though small in stature, Devin has been able to overcome big obstacles. He sailed through open-heart surgery at age 5, learned American Sign Language and impressed his doctors by eating and walking all by himself. Today he loves playing baseball with his Miracle League team.

CMN Hospitals funds provided specialized equipment and toys for the deaf and blind that help Devin communicate.
