Best Buy, one of my family's most favorite retailers, has always supported events they believe are important to their employees, customers, and communities. I'm excited to share that the upcoming Lunar New Year happens to be one of those celebrations.
For our family, celebrating Lunar New Year is a fun holiday filled with traditions my kids have grown to know, love, and expect. Although my in-laws live on the west coast, they usually kickoff the Lunar New Year celebration with sending those iconic red envelopes. They're filled with treasure for each child and are always such a fun gift to receive in the mail and rip into! My kids have also gotten accustomed to eating long noodles as the traditional Lunar New Year dish. They also enjoy getting haircuts and getting new clothes to ring in the new Lunar New Year, which is also customary in celebrating Lunar New Year. I hope that these, along with the other meaningful traditions for celebrating Chinese Lunar New Year that my kids have grown up with, will continue on for many generations of our family.
This upcoming year, Lunar New Year, which is based on the phases of the moon, falls on February 8th, 2016 of our Gregorian calendar. I was excited to find out that Best Buy is helping celebrate this meaningful event with an Asian-inspired Giftcard and eGiftcard, available for purchase or gifting from BestBuy.com through February 13th, 2016.
These Lunar New Year inspired Best Buy gift cards are perfect for filling all of your red envelopes for those special kids, nieces, nephews, and grandkids that you'll be celebrating with. It's the perfect way to send good luck and good wishes for the new year.
With these new options, Best Buy offers an easy, fun, and hassle-free to kickoff your Lunar New Year celebration. Simply choose to have a Lunar New Year gift card shipped to your (or loved one's) address, or order an eGift card from BestBuy.com (look under the “Holiday” tab for the red gift card with Koi fish). Plus, throughout the year, find Best Buy’s Chinese Happy Birthday eGift card under the “Birthday” tab.
This Lunar New Year, let me be the first to wish you and your family good luck and happiness throughout!
